OUR STABLE.

a choice of lawn mowers...

We live on the outskirts of Ghent, but we love the Ardennes.

So in 2014 we bought land there for a holiday home.

After the cow lease on our Ardennes pastures expired,

In 2019 we started looking for other lawn mowers...

The choice was quickly made, because the sheep of the French Ouessant breed proved to be very strong and independent.

About stable 'Les Vergers de Thimont'

color varieties: black and brown

At our start in 2019, two brown ram lambs (at the Vom Wolkentanz stable) charmed us

and we immediately fell in love with the brown Ouessants...

So our first lambs saw the light of day in the spring of 2020.

After the birth of the first brown feline, Niouzella, it was a four-year wait for a new batch of brown felines...

In the meantime, we were provided with brown rams ;-)

Of course, we select unrelated rams every year and try to achieve healthy animals,

with the aim of producing beautiful, purebred, deep brown Ouessant puppies with a full coat for our herd.

We regularly worked with the Vom Wolkentanz stables, and also with Van 't Vlaminckveld, van de Peutiestede, ...

Our sheep are marked, and we participate in the pedigree program through SLE with the Belgian Ouessant Sheep Association (BOV). The BOV association aims to preserve and further develop the Ouessant sheep according to the breed standard.
